The latest purpose-built dormitory to be designed, built and operated by our company, Jurong Penjuru Dormitory (I), began operations in June 2006. It is situated on a 1.5 Hectare land along the East Bank of the Jurong River. Standing on JTC land, this dormitory serves the Marine and Manufacturing Industries.
The dormitory has four Residential Blocks, an Administration Block, and an Amenities Block. The 384 units in the Residential Blocks are of similar design. They are self-contained with toilet, bath, and cooking facilities all within the units. The units come furnished with beds and lockers. Jurong Penjuru Dormitory is also the first to provide SCV service to its tenants.
The Administration Block houses the Dormitory’s Management Office, Fire & Security Command Centre, Interview & Visitors’ Rooms, Sick Bay, and Quarantine Room. This Block also serves as the main entry and exit points for the tenants. The Access Control System in this dormitory utilizes a combination of Proximity Pass and Biometric Technologies.

The canteen and mini mart are on the ground floor of the Amenities Block. The Multi Purpose Hall, Inter Net and Games Rooms, and Gym are on the upper floors. This block also has a roof top garden where tenants can lounge around and relax in the evenings.Added to these, open games courts, fitness parks, and gazebos, make Jurong Penjuru Dormitory a quality and affordable accommodation facility for Singapore’s foreign workforce.
